This notice covers the website skyssense.com and the SkysSense Android app (together, "SkysSense"). Using SkysSense means you have read it. How the service may be used is set out in the Terms of use, and how personal data is handled in the Privacy policy.
1. Owner
SkysSense is a personal project run by a private individual resident in Spain. Contact for any question, request or notice: [email protected]. This address is also the single point of contact for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act (Spanish and English).
The Android app is published on Google Play from a developer account of a third party ("Comunio Premier Scores"), which only distributes it. That account holder doesn't receive the personal data of SkysSense users beyond the anonymous statistics Google Play gives any developer; the controller of your data is always SkysSense, as the Privacy policy explains.
2. What SkysSense is
SkysSense is a free plane spotting tool. It shows aircraft near a place on a radar and in a list, reads them out by voice, and lets people who create an account share aircraft photos, follow other spotters and appear in a ranking.
3. Intellectual and industrial property
The name and logo of SkysSense, its design, source code, texts and the compilation of its content belong to its owner or are used with permission. You may use SkysSense for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation needs prior written permission.
Photos shared by users belong to their authors, who give SkysSense the licence described in the Terms of use. Airline names and logos, aircraft manufacturer names and other trademarks belong to their owners and are only shown to identify the aircraft and operator; their appearance doesn't mean any relationship with or endorsement by them.

4. Data sources and attributions
SkysSense doesn't operate any receiver. It shows data from these third parties, each under its own licence or terms of use:

The data in SkysSense may not be copied, extracted or reused beyond what these licences allow. Anyone who wants the data should get it from the original sources under their terms.
5. Automated access
It isn't allowed to extract or reuse, systematically or in bulk, the content of SkysSense or its databases (aircraft data, photos, profiles, ranking) with robots, scrapers or any other automated means, to build another database or service, or to access SkysSense other than through its own interface. This protects the rights of SkysSense and of the data sources above, whose terms forbid it too. SkysSense may block the traffic concerned.
6. Disclaimers
- For information only. SkysSense is a hobby and information tool. It must not be used for navigation, air traffic control, flight safety, emergency decisions or any activity where an error could put people or property at risk.
- Not an official source. SkysSense has no relationship with ENAIRE, AESA, EUROCONTROL, EASA, airports, airlines or any air navigation service provider, and doesn't speak for them.
- Third party data. Positions come from networks of volunteer receivers. They may be delayed, incomplete, wrong or missing, and many aircraft (for example some military, state or private flights) don't appear or appear without details.
- Inferred data. Routes, airlines, aircraft models and some other details are worked out from the callsign, the transponder code and public databases. They are estimates and can be wrong.
- Voice callouts and driving. Don't handle SkysSense while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention. Voice callouts are for information only and never replace your attention on the road or your surroundings, and the traffic rules always come first.
- Weather. Weather conditions are an automatic forecast from Open-Meteo, shown without any guarantee of accuracy.
- External links. SkysSense links to other websites (data sources, photographers, flight trackers). Their content and privacy practices are their owners' responsibility.
- User content. Photos and aliases are published by users, who are responsible for them. SkysSense reviews photos before publishing them and removes any content it becomes aware is unlawful or breaks the Terms of use. To report something, use Report in the app or write to the contact address.
- Liability. SkysSense is provided free of charge and as it is. As far as the law allows, SkysSense isn't liable for damages arising from errors or gaps in third party data, interruptions of the service or decisions taken based on the information shown. Nothing in this notice limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for damage to life or health, or the rights the law gives consumers.
7. Aircraft owners and operators
The positions shown are broadcast publicly by the aircraft itself. Even so, if you own or operate an aircraft and would rather its registration and photos didn't appear in SkysSense, open the aircraft in the app and choose Is this your aircraft? Ask us to hide it, or write to [email protected] with the registration and how we can check it's yours. Once checked, the registration is hidden and its photos are left out. Many owners also use the programmes of the aviation authorities (for example the FAA's LADD and PIA in the United States), which the data sources respect.
8. Applicable law and courts
This notice and the use of SkysSense are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. The European Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025, so it is not available; you can still turn to the consumer authorities of your country.

Este aviso se aplica a la web skyssense.com y a la app de Android de SkysSense (en conjunto, "SkysSense"). Usar SkysSense supone haberlo leído. Cómo se puede usar el servicio está en los Términos de uso, y cómo se tratan los datos personales, en la Política de privacidad.
1. Titular
SkysSense es un proyecto personal gestionado por una persona física residente en España. Contacto para cualquier consulta, solicitud o notificación: [email protected]. Esta dirección es también el punto único de contacto para usuarios y autoridades según el Reglamento de Servicios Digitales de la UE (en español e inglés).
La app de Android se publica en Google Play desde la cuenta de desarrollador de un tercero ("Comunio Premier Scores"), que solo la distribuye. El titular de esa cuenta no recibe datos personales de los usuarios de SkysSense más allá de las estadísticas anónimas que Google Play da a cualquier desarrollador; el responsable de tus datos es siempre SkysSense, como explica la Política de privacidad.
2. Qué es SkysSense
SkysSense es una herramienta gratuita de spotting de aviones. Muestra los aviones que hay cerca de un lugar en un radar y en una lista, los anuncia por voz y permite a quien crea una cuenta compartir fotos de aeronaves, seguir a otros spotters y aparecer en un ranking.
3. Propiedad intelectual e industrial
El nombre y el logotipo de SkysSense, su diseño, código fuente, textos y la recopilación de sus contenidos pertenecen a su titular o se usan con autorización. Puedes usar SkysSense para tus fines personales y no comerciales. Cualquier otra reproducción, distribución, comunicación pública o transformación necesita autorización previa por escrito.
Las fotos que comparten los usuarios pertenecen a sus autores, que conceden a SkysSense la licencia descrita en los Términos de uso. Los nombres y logotipos de aerolíneas, los nombres de fabricantes de aeronaves y demás marcas pertenecen a sus titulares y solo se muestran para identificar la aeronave y su operador; que aparezcan no implica ninguna relación con ellos ni su respaldo.
El software libre con el que está hecho SkysSense aparece, con sus licencias, en la página de Licencias.
4. Fuentes de datos y atribuciones
SkysSense no opera ningún receptor. Muestra datos de estos terceros, cada uno con su propia licencia o condiciones de uso:

Los datos de SkysSense no se pueden copiar, extraer ni reutilizar más allá de lo que permiten esas licencias. Quien quiera los datos debe obtenerlos de las fuentes originales, con sus condiciones.
5. Acceso automatizado
No está permitido extraer ni reutilizar, de forma sistemática o masiva, el contenido de SkysSense ni sus bases de datos (datos de aeronaves, fotos, perfiles, ranking) mediante robots, scrapers u otros medios automáticos, para crear otra base de datos o servicio, ni acceder a SkysSense por otra vía que no sea su propia interfaz. Esto protege los derechos de SkysSense y de las fuentes de datos anteriores, cuyas condiciones también lo prohíben. SkysSense puede bloquear ese tráfico.
6. Exenciones de responsabilidad
- Solo informativo. SkysSense es una herramienta de afición e información. No debe usarse para navegar, controlar el tráfico aéreo, la seguridad de vuelo, decisiones de emergencia ni ninguna actividad en la que un error pueda poner en riesgo a personas o bienes.
- No es una fuente oficial. SkysSense no tiene ninguna relación con ENAIRE, AESA, EUROCONTROL, EASA, aeropuertos, aerolíneas ni ningún proveedor de servicios de navegación aérea, y no habla en su nombre.
- Datos de terceros. Las posiciones vienen de redes de receptores de voluntarios. Pueden llegar con retraso, estar incompletas, ser erróneas o faltar, y muchas aeronaves (por ejemplo algunos vuelos militares, de Estado o privados) no aparecen o aparecen sin detalles.
- Datos deducidos. Las rutas, aerolíneas, modelos de aeronave y otros detalles se deducen del indicativo, del código del transpondedor y de bases de datos públicas. Son estimaciones y pueden ser incorrectas.
- Avisos por voz y conducción. No manejes SkysSense mientras conduces ni mientras haces algo que requiera toda tu atención. Los avisos por voz son solo informativos, nunca sustituyen tu atención a la carretera ni a tu entorno, y las normas de tráfico están siempre por delante.
- Meteorología. Las condiciones meteorológicas son una previsión automática de Open-Meteo y se muestran sin ninguna garantía de exactitud.
- Enlaces externos. SkysSense enlaza a otras webs (fuentes de datos, fotógrafos, visores de vuelos). Su contenido y sus prácticas de privacidad son responsabilidad de sus titulares.
- Contenido de los usuarios. Las fotos y los alias los publican los usuarios, que son responsables de ellos. SkysSense revisa las fotos antes de publicarlas y retira cualquier contenido del que tenga conocimiento de que es ilícito o incumple los Términos de uso. Para denunciar algo, usa Denunciar en la app o escribe a la dirección de contacto.
- Responsabilidad. SkysSense se ofrece de forma gratuita y tal cual. En la medida en que la ley lo permita, SkysSense no responde de los daños derivados de errores u omisiones en los datos de terceros, de interrupciones del servicio ni de decisiones tomadas a partir de la información mostrada. Nada de este aviso limita la responsabilidad por dolo o culpa grave, por daños a la vida o la salud, ni los derechos que la ley reconoce a los consumidores.
7. Propietarios y operadores de aeronaves
Las posiciones que se muestran las emite públicamente la propia aeronave. Aun así, si eres propietario u operador de una aeronave y prefieres que su matrícula y sus fotos no aparezcan en SkysSense, abre la aeronave en la app y elige ¿Es tu aeronave? Pídenos ocultarla, o escribe a [email protected] con la matrícula y cómo podemos comprobar que es tuya. Una vez comprobado, se oculta la matrícula y se dejan de mostrar sus fotos. Muchos propietarios usan también los programas de las autoridades aeronáuticas (por ejemplo LADD y PIA de la FAA en Estados Unidos), que las fuentes de datos respetan.
8. Legislación aplicable y tribunales
Este aviso y el uso de SkysSense se rigen por la legislación española. Si eres consumidor, cualquier conflicto lo resolverán los tribunales de tu lugar de residencia, y conservas la protección de las normas imperativas del país en el que vives. La plataforma europea de resolución de litigios en línea cerró el 20 de julio de 2025, así que no está disponible; puedes acudir igualmente a las autoridades de consumo de tu país.
